👆 What is up: TSMC recently reported 2Q 2026 earnings results. And it exceeded expectations.

  • Revenue grew by 33.7% to NT$2.3 trillion.

  • Net profit is also up by 77.4% to NT$707 billion.

💪 Investment Case: Valuation for TSMC is still cheap. Price-to-earnings ratio is at 33 times compared to its peers’ average of 44.4 times.

TSMC’s committed US$100 billion investment into Arizona shows that the AI industry still has legs to run. With talks of a supply crunch now, TSMC would be able to raise prices for its products.

What to be careful about: Overall spending by companies in the AI sector could slow down as concerns arise on the return on investments on AI projects.

Market Analysts: Target price of NT$3.06k with an implied upside of +24%.

ASML sells critical high-tech equipment required by other chipmakers to make advanced chips.

👆 What is up: ASML has announced recent plans to expand its low-NA EUV and DUV immersion capacity by 30% in 2027.

💪 Investment Case: ASML’s equipment are highly demanded by major chipmakers for the AI sector. Without them, they can’t produce high-tech 3nm chips that are in high demand by AI players. Most of its capacity expansion have already got buyers, and the company could expand again by 30% in 2028 to meet demand.

What to be careful about: Broader slowdown in the AI sector.

Market Analysts: Target price of EUR1.94k with an implied upside of +21.5%

Broadcom designs, develops and supplies various semiconductor devices.

👆 What is up: Apple has expanded its partnership with Broadcom to US$30 billion in chipmaking. The deal will produce 15 billion U.S.-made chips, and expand Broadcom’s Fort Collins location.

💪 Investment Case: With strong links to Apple, Broadcom has a steady client to sell its products to. Apple is also desperate to secure supply of semiconductor chips and components that are going through a supply crunch at this point. Hence, Broadcom could have pricing power here.

What to be careful about: Potential slowdown in Apple product sales, that could reduce demand for Broadcom’s products.

Market Analysts: Target price of US$525 with an implied upside of +40%
